CODE OF IDEALS
The staff members of the Thomaston Upson Recreation Department wish to focus attention on exemplary customer service. We hold these principles as universal and essential to our success, which we establish as our Code of Ideals.
This Code of Ideals will serve as the philosophical cornerstone to guide our interactions with anyone who seeks to make use of recreation programs and facilities.
HONESTY – We will be fair and honest in our relations with the public, striving to achieve the highest level of integrity and trustworthiness.
RESPECT – We will be respectful, courteous, and understanding of the public’s needs and will treat them as we would want to be treated.
DEDICATION – We will hold ourselves accountable to ensure that services are provided to the best of our ability with available resources in a responsible, dependable and timely manner.
TEAMWORK – We are part of a Team on many levels. We are employees of local government and members of the Recreation Department staff. We understand that our actions will ensure our success as individuals, department representatives, and government representatives.
PROFESSIONALISM - We will strive to demonstrate competency, knowledge, and efficiency in our jobs that will exceed the expectations of our public.
POSITIVE ATTITUDE – We will demonstrate a spirit of friendly customer service by providing helpful and responsive assistance in a caring and considerate manner. We will pledge to assist and/or refer persons to obtain needed information or resources.
WORK ENVIRONMENT – We are committed to continually strive to improve ourselves and the delivery of our services. We will work to provide recreational facilities and grounds for our community to use and enjoy.
We believe these are the keys to good customer service and delivery of services. We will work together as a team to uphold this code of ideals.
